Tourist Visa
A tourist visa can only be issued to a foreigner who does not currently reside in or hold employment in India and whose sole reason for travelling there is leisure, sightseeing, a quick visit to see friends and family, etc.
On a tourist visa, no additional activity is allowed. A standard tourist visa may be given for a period of three to six months, with the option of single, double, or triple entries; it is neither extendable nor convertible. The Issuing Authority has complete control over the visa’s term.
